CAMPAIGN AGAINST
Child Sacrifice & Witchcraft

Commission International championed a campaign against the the rise of child sacrifice and rituals that had led to many losing their lives in the country. We invited other organisations, schools, government bodies to join us through the whole procession  to present a bill to The Speaker of Parliament, which was later passed in the house of representatives, thus the decrease of child sacrifice in our society. There must be a voice to sound the trumpet for the cry of the voiceless.

Special Appreciations to; Families, friends, partners, The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga & the House of Representatives, Schools, Organisations, Government Organs, Companies & Media Houses. God bless you

CAMPAIGN AGAINST
HIV / AIDS

HIV/AIDS remains a national and international crisis. UNAIDS report 2011 reveals that there are 34 million HIV positive people in the world. In Uganda, 1.2 million people and an estimated 150,000 children live positively. 64,000 Ugandans died of the AIDS virus in 2010. An estimated 2.7 million new infections were also recorded worldwide and Uganda accounts for 124,000 new infections. In fact since 2001, the percentage of new HIV/AIDS infections has risen by 17%. These statistics remain alarming and need attention and commitment if a generation with no AIDS is to be created. People infected with the virus don’t suffer alone. Their families and communities endure similar pain and helplessness.

Special Appreciations to; Families, friends, partners, Makerere University Vice Chancellor and the Students’ Guild, The Vice President of the Republic of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Edward Ssekandi. Members of Parliament, PSI, Ministry of Health, TASO, and to all who participated in this massive fight against this scourge eating up our society

Commission International is committed to the fight and struggle to create an AIDS free generation. A generation with high moral standards and Godly values. Our preventive measures include; advocacy for Abstinence before marriage and faithfulness in marriage. For care and treatment, Voluntary Counseling and Testing, advocacy against stigma and; support of medical teams, among others.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST
Malaria

Another deadly scourge is malaria. Over three quarters of a million deaths per year is attributed to malaria; an infection caused by the malaria parasite entering the bloodstream – usually through the bite of an infected mosquito. In Africa, malaria remains a leading cause of child mortality, with one in six child deaths every 45 seconds.
